Rowan Pelling is a writer, broadcaster and regular columnist for The Daily Telegraph. She edited The Erotic Review magazine for eight years and in 2017 launched a new magazine, The Amorist, for devotees of love and passion, producing seven print issues before the publication moved online.

She has written about sexuality, gender and relationships for over 20 years for diverse publications, including Vogue, GQ, the Spectator, the Daily Mail, the Independent and the Guardian. Over 2017-18 she worked as guest curator on Sotheby’s first two sales of erotic art and wrote the forewords for both catalogues. Her publications include Everyman’s Library edition of Erotic Stories, Phaidon’s The Art of the Erotic and she was a Man Booker Prize judge in 2004. Pelling is currently working on a memoir about a life spent contemplating British sexual mores. The actress Rachel Weisz has acquired the film/TV rights.
