Earl Spencer officially opened the £1 million extension at The Priors School on Friday 21st March 2014.
The village school was entrusted to the villages of Priors Marston and Priors Hardwick in Warwickshire by his great-great-grandfather, the 4th Earl Spencer, in 1849. The occasion was marked by the cutting of a ribbon and the unveiling of a new plaque in front of pupils, teachers, parents and villagers.
Headteacher Gary Murrell said, “This is a much more comfortable environment for all of our pupils. There are improved facilities for them and these will benefit the education of the children enormously. We can also extend the school’s catchment area and attract pupils from the surrounding areas such a Daventry, Southam and Woodford Halse.”
